atenda and Sarah are  fun, genuine, lovely and totally in love. I adored spending time with them.. laughing so hard my cheeks hurt, snacking on sensational food and soaking up the story of their friendship that blossomed into love. We actually had a 2 part pre-wedding session due to some stupid weather at the end of last year. Part one was spent inside their flat, making a sensational cake (a replica of one they created on one of their first dates).. then part 2 occurred just recently on a beautiful sunny sydney day. We went to their favourite local park for a picnic and then to a little urban spot to incorporate a sensational african mural. I had such a great time with them on both occasions and I cannot wait for their wedding in feb!! Thank you S&T  for being so open and up for anything!! xxx jk

he weather was not that kind to me in the lead up to christmas and these 2 were the unluckiest with the weather of all. We got rained out quite a few times, but finally we had gorgeous sunshine and they drove all the way from the blue mountains to wander around the lagoon area with me. It was my first time meeting them in person as they booked me "over the phone" (so to speak), so it was lovely to spend time chatting with them and getting to know them some more. They both admit that they are very shy but they did so amazingly well in front of the camera. Having a camera pointed at you can be quite confronting and very uncomfortable, and I am honoured that they trusted me enough to soldier on through that discomfort and hopefully they see in their images what I can see.... Two people who find peace, comfort and love in each other. I am so excited about their blue mountains wedding in just a few weeks. Fingers crossed the weather gods play nice with us again..  xxx jk

I
had so much fun with these two..wandering around the buddhist temple grounds and the back of the Lagoon..chatting about their house, wedding plans and our lives. They have such a beautiful way with each other..so tender and content in each others arms and so much fun! I could have photographed them all day...and I will get to at their wedding in Feb and I can't wait!

ast weekend I went for a relaxing drive to Goulburn to meet up with these 2 lovely people (and their puppy dog) and to take some photos at their stunning new home and around the area. I had such a great time with them both.. I could have stayed and chatted with them for hours. Mitch is a great bloke & fabulous builder. He is responsible for their beautiful home (I will continue to try to get him to come over to perth and work on my new place :)) Lauren is so sweet and has the most amazing eyes. They were both a little self conscious to start with but they were fabulous to photograph as they  have a relaxed and natural chemistry with each other.  I cannot wait to go back to Goulburn for their wedding in Feb!! Enough words..more pictures... xxx jk

Shelly, Howell and Daisy-Mai | in love | WA

hotographing another photographer can be a little scary and intimidating to be honest...but this session was far from either. Spending the day before photographing their "big" family certainly helped me feel relaxed.. but Shelly & Howell have these delightfully warm & welcoming spirits and I felt instantly at ease with them ...plus I am totally smitten with their beautiful girl, Daisy Mai ! I love how much they love their dog, how much they love colour, how totally fun & silly they are, and how easily they make each other laugh. They are totally besotted by their baby girl and each other..which made my job a breeze really:)  2 beautiful blondes and a spunky boy, some balloons, pink cons, a kayak, gorgeous late afternoon light and a whole lot of laughter makes for a session I won't soon forget. Thank you Shelly and Howell for trusting me to capture your love and little family, for showing me a taste of the beauty of WA and for being openly yourselves with me. I cannot wait for your wedding next march and I hope to spend lots more time with you both when I move west next year!! I hope you like this little sampler of my favourites... xxxx jk
