O
n friday afternoon I drove up to the blue mountains to meet ben & louise for the first time.. on the eve of their wedding. They live in Singapore and this was our first chance to meet face to face.  I already felt a connection from reading their fabulous answers to my "Getting to know you" questionaire that I send to all my couples..and it was lovely to build on that and to witness how excited they were about their wedding the next day. We drove out to wedding rock for some quick photos before the rain chased us away.

It rained heavily on and off on the morning of the big day. I was praying and crossing my fingers that it would stop so their plans for a lawn ceremony and cocktail style reception. Even as Louise got dressed, light rain continued to fall. Then as she finished dressing, the clouds cleared, the sun shone brightly and the afternoon was filled with warm sunshine.

After seeing a glimpse of some of their details and enjoying their relaxed, happy and calm demeanours, I knew that their wedding was going to be nothing short of amazing..and I was totally right. It started with Lou's amazing orange/red/dark coral (?) Kate Spade shoes (which she had the bridesmaids sign with a blue pen as her something blue), her amazing florals by Erica Blossoms with hat pins on the ribbon borrowed from her late grandmother, and her beautiful bridesmaids who got to inject their own personality and stye with their shoe choice and all had their own dresses made out of the same gorgeous material.  jk-lbw-10jk-lbw-52The amazing details continued at the venue. Orders of service with calico covers, umbrellas and fans accented with their passport stamp style logo, bottles of water on old wine barrels for guests to help them selves to and cones of petals for the guests to welcome the married couple with. Everything was simple, classic and well thought out. jk-lbw-9jk-lbw-8

The view at their venue was breathtaking, and the staff at Yester Grange were amazing! The ceremony was so simple and joyous..filled with their personality (they had the owl and the pussycat as one of their readings and I almost cried). I loved watching how excited and happy they were to be getting married..they kept looking at each other and giggling with delight. jk-lbw-7 I adored their walk back up the aisle, with petals fluttering around them, they were lit up with sheer joy!jk-lbw-6We then wandered around the grounds, finding little pockets of nice light, relaxing and having fun as I captured their gentle love and sweet affection for each other...jk-lbw-5Their bridal party were heaps of fun !jk-lbw-4 I loved this tree lined driveway..the next one is one of my favourites!jk-lbw-46Close up..I loved both and couldn't decide which one to share,so you get both! Lou, you are breathtaking!jk-lbw-3then I let them relax and catch up with guests, while I took some candids and played with a ring shot ..jk-lbw-54before grabbing them again as the sun set over the mountains..jk-lbw-59jk-lbw-1jk-lbw-2I love the adoring way they look at each other..and how easily they can make each other giggle!jk-lbw-68 The speeches were unique, funny, heartfelt and so very special! As I left the party raging to drive home, I grabbed this last shot back along the tree lined driveway that glittered with fairy lights (thankyou Robert,  expert video light holder !)..a great way to end my night!jk-lbw-70 Thank you Lou and Ben for entrusting me with capturing your amazing day!
