Colleen Irvine Hi Janine, What a huge, massive, phenominal change in your life. I love the contrast photos. Maybe once you're over here I can get the chance to make you feel welcome to Perth. Add a bit more contrast and have a drink with you to welcome you here. Hope the move goes well.

how about we organise some "welcome to WA" drinks for when you've settled a bit - meet the some of the photographic rabble that call WA home :-) and see the good bits for you as well as your beautiful kids 5/2/2012 at 11:35PM
Karla Hey JK, not really sure what I can do or say that will take away what you are feeling. All I do know is that, Wollongong will always hold a special place in your heart and I am greatful for the friendships we share and the memories you have frozen with the portraits you have taken of my family. I look forward to keeping in touch with you via the WWW and watching your business change and flourish and I hope i get to share in your new world and your exciting joruney in WA. I am so excited for you. Be kind to you always. XX 5/2/2012 at 11:16PM

Hi Janine! Loved reading this post. I'm in a similar situation...my husband and I moved to Melbourne in June last year (he is doing his PHD) from Auckland, NZ. I'd already booked weddings back in NZ so basically had 5 months back there, while my husband was in Melbourne! It is hard lots of the time, and I can definitely relate with how you feel. My advice would be to embrace wherever you are at that moment. The present time. I've found it's so easy to think, well why should I make an effort here...we might move again...but that's totally the wrong attitude to have! Get out and meet with people in your new town, as I'm sure you have...surround yourself with positive, likeminded people and I'm sure you will flourish x 5/2/2012 at 10:34PM
Honey, when I ask you 'how are you' I never want the generic answer, just the truth of how you are feeling - the good, the bad and the ugly. But I do understand how you are feeling about your move and the way you are torn. I have a wonderful friend who always says to me "there is no growth in the comfort zone, and no comfort in the growth zone". She is a wise woman, you should listen to her :) Big hugs xxxx 5/2/2012 at 10:03PM
